I also support increased government funded research on gun violence in order to help government leaders make decisions related to which regulations will make our world safer and still allow citizens the freedom to own guns. | |||

| As a mental health counselor, I am well aware that we do not have enough treatment facilities for addiction or enough counselors for all mental health problems. Expanding Medicaid and providing incentives to providers in rural areas can help to decrease the overall cost of health care. I do not support legislation regarding the right to die for nearly all cases but am open to limited access for certain severe cases where the patient is in severe pain and the doctor agrees there is no other treatment. | |||

As a teacher and health care provider, I will prioritize health care access and education for all including increased access to child care, preschool, and technical colleges and no or reduced cost. | |||
| Due to the pandemic, my top priority presently is health care. I would fund health care by taking the Medicaid expansion in SC, creating government private partnerships that provide incentives to providers to work in rural areas, and funding COVID treatment with SC surplus funds and taxes. |
